Chicken Ranch Tacos

This recipe is amazing!  My whole family LOVES it and we have made it weekly since I found it on Pinterest.  It is easy to put in the crockpot early in the day which makes for a quick fix dinner.

4 chicken breasts
1 pkt. taco seasoning
1 pkt. ranch seasoning
1 cup water or chicken broth
Taco shells
Lettuce
Cheese
Ranch dressing
Tomatoes

Spray crockpot with Pam for easy cleanup.  Add chicken breasts, water or broth, taco and ranch seasoning.  Turn crockpot onto low for 6-8hrs or high for 4-6 hrs.  In the last 1/2 hr of cooktime shred chicken with a fork and add about 1/4 cup ranch dressing and stir.

Serve in taco shells.  I like to put the meat on first, then cheese so it will get melty then a squirt of ranch and salsa topped with shredded lettuce and diced tomato.

The link for the original recipe is found HERE.  I've adapted it slightly to my own liking:)

  1. What taco seasoning do you use that is gluten free? Thanks!

  2. I use McCormick Brand and Ortega. Both brands recommend checking the package for certainty, but have been gluten free in my experience.

  3. Thanks so much for the feature! I'm happy to hear your family loves these tacos as much as mine does. I look forward to browsing your blog - we've got a couple of little Celiac friends & I always feel bad when they get left out of party treats. I'd love to find a good treat to share (from freshly washed bowls/tools, of course!! Cross-contamination is a jerk!)
