Mrs. May's Trio Bars

At Mrs. May's, they're mostly nuts!
 (and gluten free)
Costco sells these bars in a box of 20.  They are seriously the best fruit and nut bar I have ever had!  They seem a little on the pricey side at about 15 bucks for the box, but that's probably because we can go through a box so fast.  I was a little disappointed with the dry flavor of Nature Valley's new Roasted Nut Crunch bar, but maybe that is because I have been spoiled by this deliciousness.  I really like the fruit and nut combination.

  1. Jennie,
I completely agree with your assessment of both brands. I purchased the Nature Valley bars one day to see how they were (less expensive, for one thing) and wasn't impressed at all. I ate the one and the box hasn't been touched since. I will be needing to eat them, for the sake of good stewardship, but I won't buy them again unless I am desperate and there are no other options.

Not only do I eat the Mrs. Mays bars, but my glutenable husband does as well. They have been my emergency-need-something-quick-that-will-get-me--by-for-hours option more times than I can tell. I did a stint of face painting a couple of weekends ago where I painted about 53 faces in five hours and I only had time to eat half a bar on the way there. Once I started painting, there was barely time for an occasional drink of water and a few seconds to stand and stretch. I credit the Lord and that little bit of bar for getting me through. I was amazed. I went home and had leftover South of the Border, in Layers. :)
